Ultrasound today

~ So the ultrasound shows everything was still normal and Benjamin is currently 3.3 pounds. I noticed when I got home and really looked at the pics that my name wasn't at the top so I gave them a ring and they said they had all the correct info for the Dr with the measuring and that the pics were my baby(DUH!) but they wanted me to have a set with my name on them so I get to go back on the 18th for another ultrasound. My next OB appointment is the following day so it stinks that I have to do the drive two days in a row again, but I really don't mind :P Here are the pics from today anyways. He is so stinking cute!!!! The first one is of his Wang(as Adam likes to put it) next to the arrow below his leg bone. Enjoy!!

Dr Visit

So I went this morning for my check-up and am now 30 weeks and have gained about 15 pounds total. I was concerned about the baby's position because he had been sideways for over 2 weeks and Monday night I had a horrible pain/burning go across my stomach and immediately had to lay down. The pain lasted at least 20min and I continued to feel the burning sensation until Tuesday night. At my visit the uterus was soft which was good and she didn't think he was sideways anymore and figured when he turned himself back around he hit a nerve or something. All I know is it hurt like Hell!!! I also am measuring 5 weeks large so she is having me go back tomorrow for another ultrasound. I will attach the pics when I get them, hopefully he is still a normal size and I am just measuring big consistently. And we know if he did indeed move and is hopefully now head down.

28 Weeks

Well I finally reached the 3rd trimester and went to see the doc today for my 28week check and everything looks to be right on schedule. I measured only 3 1/2 weeks larger this time which is a lot better than the 6 weeks I had been measuring. I told the Dr that I had noticed yesterday A.M that he had decided to lay sideways and I didn't think he had moved from that spot yet. Well he is sideways with his head on my right and his feet on the left and he has enjoyed punching my bladder all day today. My next appointment is Oct 3rd so I am now being seen every 2 weeks, if he hasn't moved by the next 2 visits then they said we should start to get concerned. I think he has just found himself a nice cozy place to lay and is all stretched out and doesn't want to move. Adam keeps joking that he is stuck in that position, which I don't find funny at all. I am gradually starting to gain weight every month and my doc is happy about that. I hate having to get on that scale every visit. I think all pregnant woman feels the same way about the scale :)

What to do when the nursery is done?

So I guess I have finished the nursery, now what do I do? We still need to get the glider and ottoman purchased and put in but until then I have put the maple rocker in there. I finished painting the walls today and got all the bumble bees put on and the rug put together. I am still trying to decide if I want to paint a thin black stripe between the yellow and white. Adam says it's fine just like it is but I'm not sure yet. It is hard to believe that the baby will be here in just a few months. I catch myself going in sometimes in the afternoon and just sitting in the rocker listening to the lullaby CD we got and think how it's going to be when he's here, then I freak out for a minute or two then realize everything will be fine and that women have babies all the time so what am I worrying about. All the books I've read say it's normal at this point in the pregnancy to feel this way. I guess it's just the unknown that I am so afraid of and there isn't a book out there to help with that.

1st Soccer Game

Well as most of you already know Adam has been coaching little league soccer for ages 4,5, and 6yrs. We had our first games this Saturday and much to our surprise the kids did very well. Our team the "Jellyfish" won the game and the kids were so happy. We have a little girl on the team that really likes coach Adam and has already made him a picture :). Our next game is on the 15Th and we play Elizabeth's team. This will be a fun game to watch!

Lilly's first day of school

Our niece Lilly started her first day of kindergarten today and it is so hard to believe. They grow up way to fast and before you know it they are off to explore the world. I hope Leah is holding up ok, I can't even imagine what I would do other than just cry all day waiting for the bus to bring my baby back. At least we have a while before we have to go through it. Hang in there Leah!! thank goodness you have another one on the way soon to help occupy the time :)

Update on pregnancy

~ So we went back to the Dr today for a repeat ultrasound to see why I am measuring 6 weeks larger than gestation. They measured the amount of amniotic fluid to check for excess and that was fine(big relief) then she checked out all his organs and they were all fine. She then started to measure him to see how big he was and if he was going to be a large baby. Well......he's not big at all! he's is in the 33rd percentile right now which is perfect. He was all over the place(which is his normal) and only wanted to play with his feet the whole time so we got a cute picture of it. I wonder if he will like his toes when he's out :). Adam and I are both very relieved that nothing is wrong and that I am just carrying him big. We also found out that after failing the 1hr glucose test and having to repeat with the 3hr test on Monday that those results were in and I Passed!!! PHEW!!! They might make me take another 1hr next month to double check for Gestational Diabetes but as for now I am all clear. We are still on schedule for Dec 8th as our due date and we both can't wait to see our little man :) Thanks to all who have said extra prayers this last week when all this started and we didn't know what to expect today.

Enjoy Benjamin playing with his toes!!!!! I love how he has his rear end sticking up in the air!!

Bell Shot 24wks

Well I figured since it had been a while since the last belly shot that I would post a new one for all to see. I will actually be 25wks tomorrow and as everyone can now see I already feel huge. As of my last appointment that was this week I am measuring quite large(at 30wks)and six weeks is a big difference so they are running some tests for Gestational Diabetes( I already failed the 1st one) and we have an ultrasound on Thursday to see if the baby is big or if I am just carrying on the large size. Until then we just don't know. I added a pic of my bare belly(Adam doesn't like these) for my mom :)

Birthday Girl...Look who's 1

Adelyn turned 1yr while in Florida and we had such a great time with her. It is hard to believe that a year has passed already. This little girl has been a fighter from day one and you would never know she was 2months premature except that she is so petite. She is just the happiest baby and I think I heard her cry twice the whole 2 1/2 weeks we were there. I love you Peanut!!

Afternoon at the beach

It was so hot while I was home that even the beach wasn't comfortable. The gulf was actually "HOT" and not very many people were swimming that afternoon. Kinda hard to cool off from the 115 degree weather when the water is 95 degrees.

First time at the beach

For Adelyn's first birthday we took her out to the beach to see what she would do with the sand. She wasn't sure what to think about it and was afraid to sit down for a little while. When she finally sat she got sand all over her hands and quickly realized that she didn't like that at all and starting shaking her hands trying to get it off. maybe next year she'll like it and we can get her to build sand castles with her cousin.

I love Ice Cream

So while I was home in Florida my brother and his fmaily were there also. Adelyn(who turned 1 while they were there) absolutley loves ice cream and will eat it until she almost gets sick. For a special treat we went to the Marble Slab in Destin and the girls loved every bite. How Cute are They!!!!!! I love the second pic of Adelyn, she looks like she has had way to much ice cream.

Benjamin's Shower

So after 2 1/2 weeks in Florida I am finally getting settled back into a routine here at home and getting back to postings. I had such a great time with family and friends while I was there. It was non-stop the entire time with weddings, my baby shower , birthdays and just trying to see everyone. My shower was absolutely amazing, Jari's parents opened their house for the day and did so much to get ready ( Thank You!). I think we got just about everything we need for Benjamin(except for a few big items) This kid will have to wear multiple outfits a day just to cycle through everything. We received a few hand made items that were just amazing. Nancy(Last pic) made a bumble bee quilt by hand for Benjamin, June Jones made him his very own Wubby and her husband Randy wrote this great poem. I was given slippers with "L" and "R" on them so I know which feet they go on in the middle of the night. Everything we received had so much thought put into it and Adam Benjamin and I thank you all very much for everything. I left with so much stuff that I had to buy a large duffel bag to take it all back in.

Ben's Room

So We have started working on this little guys room(want to get it done while I still feel good and have my energy). We still have to re-finish a piece of furniture and add the bumble bees to the walls along with some other little finishing touches but this is what we have so far. I think it's going to be one cute little nursery by the time we get it all put together. Hopefully he'll like the Bumble Bee theme :P

here is Picture #2 from this A.M

See everyone soon!!!

Benjamin 20wks

We had another visit to the Dr today and everything looks great!! Benjamin is measuring kinda big(in the 70%) so we are interested to see how he grows these next few months. Hopefully he will not be to large of a baby for my sake :) We got a few good shots of his little face I wanted to share with everyone. Enjoy!!

I am also getting ready to head to Florida to see my family and friends and am really looking forward to seeing everyone. My Sister is giving me a baby shower while I am there and I will get to see old friends I haven't seen in a while. I will think of everyone while I am laying out at the pool or catching some rays at the beach. Mikayla is very excited that we will be at Nana's together and be able to build lots of sandcastles, have tea parties and"just play" as she puts it.

Darla's conversation with her brother

I have noticed lately that when I sit down to rest Darla wants to be right beside me. It takes her a min or so before her head starts to rest on my belly. It's always so cute, kinda like she's having a little chat with him. We were watching T.V tonight and Adam was able to catch here doing it this time. I think her and Benjamin are going to best buds!!

Belly shot 18wks

So here you go, it's amazing how much you change in just three weeks. I am slowly starting to feel the little guy moving around in there and can't wait for Adam to feel from the outside. I started taking water aerobics three days a week and I think he really likes the water. By the time I get home and showered and sit down for a minute I can feel these odd twitches that I assume are the baby. He must like all the bouncing around :)

Back to the Dr again

Well I received a phone call from the Ob today informing me that my cultures from Tuesday had come back positive for the Group"B"Strep bacteria. They told me a percentage of women carry the bacteria always and have no symptoms of it. It can be life threatening to the baby at delivery if not treated with IV antibiotic while in labor so this changes my plan of labor at home as long as possible. Then to top it all off I had some spotting this am, so because of everything they had me come in for another ultrasound to make sure all was ok and found out I have a low lying placenta that is causing the bleeding. They confirmed again that it was definitely a boy and that at my next visit the would recheck the placement of my placenta with an ultrasound. So I guess I just have to take it easy and watch what I lift and my activity levels.
